Built in 1858 at the instruction of Prince Albert, the Lodge has been extensively refurbished throughout to create a contemporary feel and has a number of modern features to make your stay comfortable.
Entering the property, a private vestibule is the perfect space for taking off muddy boots and coats before settling down in the comfort of the Lodge. A lovely living room with TV, DVD Player and cosy blankets can also sleep additional guests using the sofa bed if required. Further accommodation on the ground floor comprises; an open and spacious dining room, family bathroom with vanity mirror and separate kitchen with modern appliances including a boiling hot water tap. From the kitchen there is direct access to the rear of the private garden. Wireless charging pads and USB sockets are available throughout.
Upstairs are two bedrooms, the main double bedroom and a twin bedroom with ample storage space. The property also benefits from private off-street parking for one vehicle in addition to ample free parking in the adjacent Meadowbank Car Park.
The lodge is perfectly placed for walks around Arthur’s Seat or exploring deeper into tranquil areas of the park, such as Dunsapie Loch where you might spot pheasants, otters or other members of the wildlife that are abundant in Holyrood Park. A 15-minute walk through the park takes you to Holyrood Palace, the beginning of the famous Royal Mile, home to many of Edinburghs premium attractions, shops and restaurants. Two large supermarkets are also only a 15-minute walk away.
