A truly unique opportunity to stay in one of Holyrood Parks historic lodges, Duddingston Lodge is nestled in a quiet leafy corner just within the boundary of the Royal Park and affords excellent access to city centre attractions as well as the beautiful landscape of the Park.
Originally built in the late 1850s, the Lodge has been extensively refurbished throughout to create a contemporary feel and has a number of modern features to make your stay comfortable.
Entering the property, a private vestibule is the perfect space for taking off muddy boots and coats before settling down in the comfort of the Lodge. A lovely living room with TV and cosy blankets can also sleep additional guests using the sofa bed if required. Further accommodation on the ground floor comprises; an open and spacious dining room, family bathroom with shower over bath, sink and WC, and a separate kitchen with modern appliances including a boiling hot water tap.
Upstairs are two bedrooms, the main double bedroom and a twin bedroom with ample storage space. The property also benefits from private off-street parking for up to two vehicles, and a large enclosed garden.
The lodge is perfectly placed for walks around Arthur’s Seat or exploring deeper into tranquil areas of the park, such as Duddingston Loch where you might spot pheasants, otters or other members of the wildlife that are abundant in Holyrood Park. A walk through Holyrood Park leads you directly to the City Centre, where there are numerous restaurants, bars and shopping facilities to enjoy.
