Glasgow is rightly known throughout the UK as a magnet for shoppers, with many of the world's most famous designer names being represented here. For people who live in Crosshill, it's easy to get into the city, and the local park and ride service is particularly convenient for lovers of retail therapy. It's located in Shields Road, just to the north of Crosshill.

Ibrox Stadium, the home of Rangers FC, is less than three miles from here, while Celtic FC's home ground is just three miles to the east. Both the Tollcross International Swimming Centre and the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome are also just a handful of miles away.

Local amenities include the Battlefield Surgery to the south of the neighbourhood and Butterbiggins Medical Centre in Butterbiggins Road. The nearest hospital is the New Victoria Hospital, which is to be found in Grange Road in nearby Langside.
