Kirsten Speirs, Owner and Managing Director of events company, KD Media joins host, Gillian Semmler for episode 36 of Lets Talk to talk about their awards programmes and, in particular, the Scottish Home Awards which Citylets sponsor. KD Media run six award ceremonies annually, two dedicated to property plus trade shows and conferences. Kirsten explains the judging procedure and what it means to companies who are awards winners or finalists.
They also discuss how the events industry has been significantly impacted by the pandemic. Kirsten talks about the challenges they faced and how they adapted to ensure the continuation of their successful events.

KD Media’s charity partner, It’s Good to Give, provides support to young people suffering cancer and their families. KD Media has raised a significant amount of money over the years which has provided invaluable funding for The Ripple Retreat. She tells Gillian more about the money they’ve raised and how it’s been used.
Being a mother of three boys, aged between nine and seventeen, Kirsten also chats about how she divides her time between running her own business and family life.
