The average rent in Scotland has been pushed 7.9% higher over the last year, driven by rises in major cities with Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Glasgow
all finishing the year at an all time high. However, viewed in the context of the long term, rents have still only risen broadly in line with inflation
even within these rental hotspots and most towns around the country still record below inflation rises. 2015 could see the market cooling in Aberdeen if
oil prices stay at their historic lows which would impact the National average.
